For traveling foodies, hotel booking site Mr. & Mrs. Smith has launched a new app and section of their website dedicated to the world’s best culinary destinations. After filtering through 950 hotels worldwide, the group’s team of anonymous reviewers chose the top 20 they believe to offer the most destination-worthy food and compiled them into the app, called Great Global Chefs. Available in iPad format, it features recipes, chef bios, restaurant profiles, and themed recipe collections from each of the restaurants, which run the gamut from Michelin-starred trendsetters to cozy dining rooms with locavore fare. The locales that range from England to Australia include four in Asia: The Dining Room at The Nam Hai, Dien Ban, in Vietnam; Café Gray Deluxe at The Upper House in Hong Kong; Nahm at Metropolitan by COMO in Bangkok; and Amber at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. The website, Travelling with Taste, is more fleshed out, including sections about cities’ street food scenes, regional specialties, and culinary experiences offered by different hotels they support—a great resource not only for their guests but for any traveler looking to make cuisine a noteworthy part of their trip.
