Singapore Airlines’ new budget carrier, Scoot, took to the sky on June 4 with its inaugural flight from Singapore to Sydney—around three weeks ahead of the scheduled launch date of June 26.

The airline will also launch a five-times-weekly service between Singapore and Gold Coast on June 12. Both flights will employ Boeing 777-200 aircraft and offer business and economy class.

The daily flight from Singapore to Sydney will leave at 2:10 a.m. and arrive at 11:40 a.m. On the return leg, flights will depart the harbor city at 12:50 p.m. and arrive at 7 p.m.

The Singapore-Gold Coast service will leave Singapore at 10:25 p.m., reaching Gold Coast at 7.50 a.m., before departing again at 9 a.m. and touching down in Singapore at 3 p.m.

The company has also announced that it will start to Tokyo and Taipei by the end of 2012.
