Okura Hotels & Resorts will launch its first branded property in Thailand with the opening of the Okura Prestige Bangkok on May 14. With 240 rooms, the hotel is located in the heart of the city and directly connected to the Ploenchit skytrain station.
The rooms occupy the top part of the newly constructed Park Ventures Ecoplex, a 34-floor building noted for its eco-friendly construction and a curved shape echoing the Thai symbol of “wai,” which indicates thanks and welcome.
The property boasts panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline throughout, including from a 25-meter cantilevered lap pool. On the highest floors are suites with full kitchens and oversize bathtubs.
Okura’s Prestige collection is slated to have about 20 properties within five years. The next one is the Okura Prestige Taipei.
The property is a member of Leading Hotels of the World.
