Qantas will trial an in-flight entertainment system on board a domestic aircraft next month that allows customers the ability to stream in-flight entertainment content to individual tablets supplied by the airline. Later in the trial, passengers will be able to watch that same content on their laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other wi-fi-enabled devices. The initial six-week trial will be on board a B767-300 and will run from the end of October through to early December. Following the trial, Qantas will assess opportunities for the application of such streaming across its domestic and international fleet.
