Rosewood Hotels and Resorts takes its Sense of Place philosophy quite literally, curating specific programs to suffuse each of its guests’ five senses in their travels. Most recently—following upon their Scent in the City program of room-service perfumes—the group has debuted Sense of Taste, a three-part program of culinary experiences and menus created around the landscape and produce of each of its 18 properties. It’s composed of three parts: Epicurean Encounters, which tailors private tours, classes, and adventures to each locale; a commitment to sourcing from local farmers with Partners in Provenance; and once-in-a-lifetime meals with Bespoke Dining. This isn’t the typical roster of offerings like visits to the local market or pavilions on the beach either (though there are those too). Rather, there’s deep-sea fishing in the Red Sea at the Rosewood Comiche in Jeddah, blending wine at Rosewood CordeValle in California, Caribbean rum tastings at Rosewood Little Dix Bay, and fireside dinners at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, to name just a few.
