What better way to see Vietnam’s famed floating villages, limestone caves, and emerald green rice paddies than aboard a river cruise? Pandaw River Expeditions has announced its new 10-night Halong Bay and Red River excursions, launching in July 2015. Guests can explore the iconic limestone islands of Halong before entering the Kinh Thay River, mooring at Yen Duc Village amid the sheer rock faces of surrounding mountains. Visits to local villages renowned for their 11th century folk painting and traditional ceramic production are a highlight of the itinerary. The cruise also includes sightseeing in Vietnam’s capital city and visits to ancient Buddhist temples. The 16-suite Angkor Pandaw boat provides guests with luxury service and a two-to-one crew to guest ratio. Guests booking before October 31 can enjoy a 10 percent savings on the US$2,600 price per person.
