Scoot to Link Singapore and Taipei on September 18


Singapore Airlines’ new budget carrier, Scoot, is set to start thrice-weekly flights between Singapore and Taipei, Taiwan, on September 18 (the launch was initially planned for October). The service, which will be operated by the airline’s  Boeing 777-200 aircraft, will depart Singapore at 1:05 a.m., arriving in Taipei at 5:40 a.m. On the return leg, the flight will leave Taipei at 3:40 p.m. for a 8:10 p.m. touchdown in Singapore.

The airlines has recently also started a service between Singapore and Gold Coast, Sydney, and Bangkok. It is also scheduled to start flights between the Lion City and Tianjin, China, in August.
