Named after the capital of the ancient Thai kingdom, The Sukhothai hotel—Sukhothai translates to dawn of happiness—has launched its own Bangkok tour inviting guests to scratch the surface of Thailand’s captivating history.

The “Hidden Bangkok” package features a tour of the Grand Palace, home of the king of Siam since 1782, along with visits to the temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, and Chinatown, as well as a boat ride along the quiet canals of Thonburi.

The deal includes accommodation in a Superior room or Executive suite—all the Sukothai’s 210 guest rooms and suites are furnished in teakwood and Thai silks, and have private balconies or terraces overlooking lotus pools. The Sukhothai will also lay on a round trip limousine airport transfer and daily buffet breakfast in Colonnade restaurant, as well as a two-and-a-half-hour spa treatment at Spa Botanica for two people, which includes pebble stone bath and Thai herbal compress.

Guests must stay a minimum of three consecutive nights. Rates start from US$400 per Superior room, per night. The package expires on December 28 and can be reserved by emailing reservations@sukhothai.com.
