After the discovery and excavation of 20 ancient structures in Da Nang, the Vietnamese city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. The central Vietnamese city is one of the best places to explore the country’s rich history, and visitors coming to Danang will find a full sampling with the Journey to Vietnam’s Heritage Road program organized by the Da Nang International Stone Sculpture Festival 2013. The program takes place from Aug. 1 to Aug. 4 and will include a heritage tour as well as a cultural showcase, a banquet of Vietnamese food, and sculpture exhibition by 20 international and local sculptors. The four-day program is priced US$550 per participant for a full program while an entertainment-only program is US$400.
