Come November, two Cambodian events will focus on new works from a diverse roster of photographers. The fourth edition of the Angkor Photography Festival (Nov. 23–28) in Siem Reap gathers images from renowned international and emerging regional talents under the theme “photography for change.” While the event is open to works from around the world, it retains a distinctly local edge with free workshops for young Asian photojournalists and a charity auction, the proceeds from which will go to Anjali House, a children’s center providing food, fun, and shelter for street kids. Hot on its heels, Photo Phnom Penh (Nov. 29–Dec. 7) makes its debut this year in the Cambodian capital with 13 indoor and outdoor expositions from the likes of Frédéric Lecloux, Manit Sriwanichpoom, and Khmer mixed-media artist Chhin Taingchhea. –ND
