Budding horticulturalists will want to make a beeline for the Hangang Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, held between April 13 and 17. The annual spectacle of pollen and petals on Seoul’s Yeouido Island on the Han River attracts hundreds of local and international performers who are on hand to provide entertainment amidst the flowering gardens of cherry blossoms, royal azaleas, and golden forsythias.
