For many years now, Jakarta-based Canadian artist Ken Pattern has found inspiration in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. His most recent exhibition in Indonesia showcases drawings, lithography, and paintings inspired by his visions of Bali. Depicting scenes of traditional life on the Island of Gods, most of the displayed work is almost photographic in its attention to detail.
Pattern, who has been living in Indonesia since 1989, is best known for images that document the changing face of Jakarta.
“Bali and Beyond” runs at Galeri Hadiprana until January 7.
