Stay for Fun at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove and Resorts World Sentosa

Whether it’s for a Singapore staycation or a more relaxed alternative to the usual five-star city hotel, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is an ideal playground for hip young families. Even better, the property has recently rolled out its Stay for Fun package, offering daily breakfast and attraction tickets at Resorts World Sentosa Singapore for two adults and one child.

The Look

As the only hotel in the waterfront precinct of Sentosa Cove, W Singapore has been designed to offer a fun-filled resort experience for all. Guests here drift around on inflatable floats at the 24-hour WET® Pool beneath the gaze of the “Lighthouse” – an eye-catching architectural feature that can be booked as a venue for private dining experiences. This is the only W hotel fronting a marina, and its sleek modernist architecture complements the lush grounds planted with royal palms. That contemporary aesthetic extends indoors, where the decor nods to native flora such as Singapore’s famous orchids. These touches speak to the hotel’s role as a “magical rainforest” and sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the Lion City. W Singapore is just as beautiful after sundown, when colorful lighting throughout the property gives it an even more youthful appeal.

The Rooms

Guest quarters span an impressive 10 categories, ranging from the spa-connected AWAY rooms (which have the option of a rollaway bed for kids to fit two adults and one child) to the Fantastic Suite – a one-bedroom suite equipped with a living area and open bar, not to mention a wraparound balcony with its own plunge pool. All 240 rooms pair comfort with high-tech, environmentally friendly conveniences. Expect to see plush armchairs, four different settings of quirky mood lighting, spacious bathrooms with rain showers and deep tubs for a relaxing soak, while Bose sound systems make watching movies on the hotel’s 40-inch LED TVs an absolute joy. Sleep comes easy as you lie back on the soft pillows and tuck yourself between sheets in the signature W beds.

The Buzz

W Singapore’s family-friendly environment makes it a delight for young couples with children. Fuel up for the day ahead with the indulgent breakfast buffet at all-day dining venue the kitchen table, which serves up a broad range of international fare to sate the appetites of kids and adults alike. Staples like perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and hearty sausages are always available, as are a rotating assortment of Southeast Asian delicacies such as Nyonya chicken curry, braised Ee-fu noodles, and fried rice with diced yam. Outside of mealtimes, pizza-making activities are also available for kids.

Make the most of your downtime by staying in shape at FIT, W Singapore’s 24-hour gym and relaxing at the rainforest-inspired AWAY® Spa. The latter is divided into men and women’s sections, each with a decompression area, sauna, steam room, vitality pool, and more. Directly connected to the spa, AWAY rooms offer the wellness-minded guest an extra level of privacy, with plunge pools screened from the manicured main lawn by tropical foliage.

Don’t Miss

A decadent dinner at SKIRT is a must. The recently revamped space now sports a rustic-chic appearance with leather furnishings and horned elements that even extend to the salt and pepper shakers. Prime cuts of meat and fresh, sustainably sourced seafood take pride of place on the menu, and much of that is cooked on the parrilla grill that is a centerpiece of the open kitchen. Dishes here include Confit Salmon, Rabbit, and 70° Octopus. Among SKIRT’s tantalizing selection of steaks, a highly recommended option is the 30-day dry-aged Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tomahawk sourced from the Australian state of Victoria. For dessert, make sure you order the unusual Torched Bourbon Lardy Bread served in a small skillet. It comprises bread cooked in beef fat before being dressed in salted caramel sauce, bacon and walnut bits, sprayed with bourbon from a perfume bottle, and topped with salty-sweet peanut butter ice cream.

Finally, W Singapore aims to go the extra mile with its Whatever/Whenever® service, which fulfills special requests to make your stay even more memorable. The hotel’s W Insider is also on hand to curate personalised experiences for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries.
