Qatar Airways will deploy its first Airbus A380 plane on its Doha-London route from June 17. The flight will originate from Doha’s soon-to-open Hamad International Airport and land in London Heathrow Airport. Hamad has been specially designed for the aircraft with six gates catering to the jumbo aircraft. The plane will feature a three-class configuration of first, business, and economy over two levels. The new A380 first-class seats feature a 90-inch pitch that transform into a fully-flat bed and 26-inch television screens. The plane will mark the first of the airline’s 13 A380 planes on order. CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker said, “Operating on the Doha to London Heathrow route, these aircraft, with their customized cabins, will set a new level of comfort for our passengers.”
