AirAsia Japan to Link Tokyo and Seoul

AirAsia Japan has opened reservations on a new route between Tokyo Narita and Seoul.

The inaugural flight is due to take off on October 28 on the carrier’s A320 aircraft. The outbound flight JW893 will leave Tokyo at 2.15 p.m. to arrive in Seoul at 5 p.m.. The incoming flight JW892 will depart Seoul at 5.45 p.m. and arrive back in Japan at 8 p.m..

At the time of writing, a seat on the opening flight could be booked from US$120.

The Tokyo-Seoul route is currently served by ANA, Asiana, Delta, Eastar Jet, JAL, Korean Air and United Airlines.

AirAsia Japan president Kazuyuki Iwakata confirmed that the carrier, which has been flying since August, also plans to link Tokyo with South Korea’s second-largest city, Busan, from late November.
