On October 4, AirAsia X will launch flights between Kuala Lumpur and Mauritius, making it the only airline to offer nonstop direct services on the route. Flying seven hours each way on Airbus A330 aircraft, the service will depart Kuala Lumpur at 10:25 a.m. and arrive in Mauritius at 1:25 p.m. local time every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The return journey is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, departing Mauritius at 2:55 a.m. and arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 2:20 p.m.

Passengers seeking extra comfort can book a seat in the Premium Flatbed cabin, which boasts flatbed seats built to standard Business Class specifications with universal power sockets and privacy screen. Premium Flatbed passengers are entitled to a pillow and duvet, a 40 kg baggage allowance, and complimentary meals, not to mention access to priority check-in, boarding, and baggage services. Those who fly Premium Flatbed to Mauritius can be assured that they are in good hands—AirAsia X recently won “Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Cabin” and “Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Seat” at this year’s Skytrax World Airline Awards, marking its fourth consecutive win in both categories.
