Singapore Airlines to launch new business-class dining concept for China flights

From July 1 onward, business-class passengers flying on Singapore Airlines’ routes to and from China can expect to enjoy a new in-flight dining concept. Termed “shi quan wei mei”, which stands for all-encompassing flavors, the menu is developed in partnership with one-Michelin-starred chef Zhu Jun from the Jade Group of restaurants. According to the chef, “The design philosophy for the new shi quan wei mei is based on the innovative use of the freshest seasonal ingredients to showcase the essence of Chinese food culture.” Offered in three courses, the dishes include fried marinated sea bass, braised pork belly in pickle sauce, and more.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) to start private jet charter business

Japanese airline ANA looks set to launch its new ANA Business Jet Co Ltd subsidiary from July 2, which will kickstart its private jet charter flights connecting to scheduled services between Japan and North America and Europe. With this new service, travelers will be able to arrange direct charter flights from Japan to overseas destinations, while concierge services such as ground transportation, and hotel and restaurant arrangement, will also be offered.
