In the latest safety video revamp, United Airlines goes around the world with its pilots and flight attendants to illustrate on-board etiquette. Filmed in Paris, New York City, Australia, Italy, and other United destinations, the video features 12 of the airline’s employees who tried their hand at acting for the day. Quirky scenes include a pilot educating the staff of a Parisian café and a flight attendant in Japan creating an origami plane. A pilot also makes a kangaroo friend and a stewardess lectures on seatbelt safety during a bumpy New York taxi ride. The video will screen on about 1,300 United flights daily, available on select flights for now. United follows a trend in creating non-traditional safety videos, from Virgin America’s song-and-dance number to Delta’s ’80s-inspired clip.
