Austrian Airlines to Fly Direct to Hong Kong


Austrian Airlines will begin a new service connecting Vienna and Hong Kong later this year. The flight will operate five times a week using the Boeing 777-200 aircraft, with 48 seats in a business cabin that mixes the 1-2-1 and 2-2-2- configuration and 260 in its economy cabin. Set for a September 5 launch, the flight will take off from Vienna at 1:00 p.m. (except on Thursday and Sunday), landing in Hong Kong at 6:25 a.m. the next day, while a return service is scheduled to leave Hong Kong at 9:40 a.m. and arrive back in Vienna at 4:10. Traveling a distance of 8,700 kilometers, the flight time stands at approximately 11 hours and 25 minutes.
