It’s great to live in Hong Kong. Asia’s World City becomes more connected than ever with the upcoming 2018 launch of Cathay Pacific’s direct flights to Brussels, Dublin, and Copenhagen. Cathay will be the only airline offering direct flights to the three cities.
Once the flights are available, the airline will fly direct to a total of 15 European cities. Cathay Pacific believes that the soon-to-be-launched flights will meet Hong Kong-based passengers’ demand for greater accessibility to Europe.
The three routes will be serviced by the airline’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which will be equipped with high tech inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi. Cathay says the jets are environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient so environmental advocates who want to see the world need not worry.

Inside premium economy
The airline recently made a huge splash with the release of a video titled The Sounds of Traveling Well which they produced with their agency McCann Hong Kong and Malaysia. The campaign will run in Malaysia until September.
In a separate interview, Dublin airport’s managing director Vincent Harrison welcomed the news enthusiastically. “We are thrilled to welcome Cathay Pacific to Dublin Airport and to Ireland,” says Harrison. “Dublin Airport is competing for routes like this with other major European airports, so winning this new business is hugely positive news for Ireland, for foreign direct investment, for Irish exporters, and for inbound tourism,” he added.
