Emirates has launched a brand new Japanese menu for First and Business Class passengers on flights between Dubai and Haneda, Narita, and Kansai airports in Japan. Crafted using locally sourced ingredients and served with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, the new menu was a joint effort between the airline and Gate Gourmet Japan, a Narita City-based catering company that boasts a farm-to-table philosophy. Business Class fliers can tuck into a specially-arranged bento box, while First Class customers can indulge in a traditional multi-course dining experience known as Kaiseki, which includes cold appetizers, a hot main course dish with rice and miso soup, and wagashi sweets. Complementing Emirates’ exciting new menu is the exclusive dining set that was developed in collaboration with tableware company Noritake; the design process was grounded in the concept of “miyabi”, a traditional Japanese aesthetic ideal that represents elegance and refinement.
