Garuda Indonesia this week unveiled what it calls the Wonderful Indonesia Travel Pass, a program aimed at providing better assistance and prices for travelers looking to explore the country’s many destinations beyond its bigger, more popular cities. Available only for those purchasing round-trip tickets at ticketing offices outside of Indonesia, the pass offers varying prices depending on the destinations of choice and comes in several categories that highlight the type of each destination. The Adventure Pass, for example, takes travelers to Mount Sitoli, Ternate, Sumbawa, and Banyuwangi, while the Underwater Pass allows visitors to explore the country’s best diving and snorkeling sites such as Labuan Bajo, Sabang, and Ambon. Solo, Yogyakarta, and Semarang are among cities listed under the airline’s Heritage Pass, while the Explore Pass enables travelers to tailor their own travel plan using any of the destinations offered in the other categories.
