Jetstar Asia, the low-cost carrier of the Qantas Group, has announced it will add four additional flights between Singapore and Penang making the route a double daily service. The capacity increase will see a total of 21,480 additional seats available each month between the two destinations. Jetstar’s rates between the two cities will start from UA$60 one way, inclusive of airport taxes and fees. Historically, the airline has carried more than 600,000 passengers between Singapore and Penang, with service commencing in July 2009. Jetstar first began flying in December 2004 and currently operates more than 600 weekly return flights to 21 destinations across 13 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific region.
