Whether transiting through the bustling terminals of Hong Kong International Airport or returning from a long trip, visitors can experience the iconic Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong without ever leaving the airport. The 26-story hotel, which once was the largest building in Hong Kong, is now celebrating its 50th anniversary with festive celebrations across the islands. As part of the commemoration, the hotel will host a pop-up store from now until January 5, 2014 in HKIA. Airport travelers can indulge in gourmet delights from The Mandarin Cake Shop including Rose Petal Jam, X.O. Sauce, and the hotel’s signature Taste of the Legend Tea leaves. Home-made chocolates and seasonal Orange Walnut Stollen, Christmas Praline, and even Christmas Leckerli Cookies will be also available. The Mandarin Cake Shop’s Gourmet Gallery is located in the departures area of Terminal 1 and is open between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.
