Philippine Airlines to Launch Cebu–L.A. Route in 2016

Philippines Airlines last week announced plans to launch a direct flight from Cebu to Los Angeles in 2016. The airline is aiming for a March 15 launch date, and will utilize one of its 254-seater Airbus A340—equipped with 36 lie-flat business seats and 218 economy-class seats—to service the route. The new route is part of an ongoing expansion of Philippine Airlines’ U.S. services and will be the carrier’s 38th weekly flight to the country. It will operate three times a week, allowing passengers in the nation’s Visayas and Mindanao regions to conveniently fly to L.A. without the hassle of having to travel via Manila.
