Starting June 1, Qatar Airways will offer an additional daily non-stop service from Doha to Bangkok.
This brings the total number of Thailand-bound flights per week to 53, which includes flights to Phuket and Krabi. For the route, Qatar Airways will utilize the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which can accommodate 254 passengers per flight. The plane comes equipped with 22 business-class seats, 232 economy-class seats, as well as the Oryx One inflight entertainment system.
The additional flight is a testament to the airline’s strong commitment to the Thai market, says Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways’ group chief executive. In a statement, he says, “We are delighted to be able to dedicate additional capacity to Thailand, providing even more flexibility and convenience for our passengers traveling to and from the Land of Smiles.
“Bangkok has long been a hugely popular destination for both business and leisure travelers. The partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand allows us to jointly work together to attract more travelers from secondary cities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to experience the warm and gracious hospitality that Thailand is renowned for.”
The airline announced a few days ago that it would launch a third daily flight from Doha to Bali starting May 7. The route will also be served by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
