Qatar Airways Introduces Doha–Sydney Flights

Qatar Airways will begin operating daily direct flights connecting Doha and Sydney this week, expanding the carrier’s services in Australia. Like its existing Melbourne route, the carrier will utilize the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER for its Sydney service, designed with a two-cabin configuration. Fliers will depart Sydney on board flight QR909 at 10:20 p.m. to reach Doha at 5:05 a.m. the next day, while the returning flight QR908 will depart Doha at 8.10 p.m. and land in Sydney at 6:05.  Qatar Airways’ Sydney service comes a few months before the carrier is poised to launch yet another Australian route, this time to Adelaide using its new Airbus A350.
