The newest aircraft from Airbus—the A350 XWB—has been released, and Qatar Airways is the first carrier to fly it, operating the plane on its Doha–Frankfurt route as of mid-January. Impressive inside and out, the A350 is powered by Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, produces 25 percent lower carbon dioxide emissions than existing wide-bodied jets, and has LED mood lighting to counter the effects of jetlag.
