The new Qatar Airways Premium Lounge has recently made its debut at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Covering over 1000 square meters in the airport’s Terminal 1, the elegant space is the third of its kind within the carrier’s portfolio, accommodating more than 200 guests and providing travelers with everything you’d expect from a world-class, multi-award winning airline, and more: First and Business Class passengers leaving the French capital can now look forward to a brasserie and deli, a communal area built around a fountain, Wi-Fi connection, shower facilities, prayer rooms for both men and women, as well as two roof terraces with expansive views of Paris that take in the soaring Eiffel Tower. Design wise, the lounge screams luxury with its predominantly gold color palette, ornate finishes, and ambient lighting—highly reminiscent of its sister lounges at Dubai International Airport and London Heathrow. At the time of writing, the airline operates thrice-daily flights between Doha and Paris.
The ribbon cutting ceremony of the lounge also saw the announcement of an upcoming route. Starting from July 4, 2017, Qatar Airways will begin serving a direct, five-times weekly service to Nice using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner, further demonstrating its “commitment to France.” Flights will leave Doha at 7:45 a.m. and arrive in Nice at 1:05 p.m., while the return leg will take off from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport at 5:10 p.m. and land back in the capital of Qatar at 11:55 p.m.
