The Japanese port city is well-loved for its vibrant nightlife, street food, and the 16th-century Osaka Castle.
Starting April 6, 2020, Qatar Airways will be launching flights to Osaka, its third destination in Japan. The Qatar flag carrier first started direct services to Tokyo Narita in 2010 and began its Tokyo Haneda services in 2014 from Doha’s Hamad International Airport.
Well-loved for its vibrant nightlife, street food, and the 16th-century Osaka Castle, the Japanese port city also makes a great gateway for the former historic capital of Nara.
Operated by the airline’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which features 36 seats in business class and 247 seats in economy, the Osaka flights will run five times weekly before becoming a daily service from June 23, 2020.
Qatar Airways group chief executive Mr Akbar Al Baker said: “We are truly delighted to be bringing our award-winning service to Osaka, adding this highly sought after Japanese destination to our global network.”
“Osaka is a very important destination, and our service to the cosmopolitan city will enable us to provide a seamless journey for our passengers connecting from our extensive network of more than 160 destinations worldwide.”
