SIA Plans New Route to Canberra and Wellington

On September 21, Singapore Airlines is launching a “Capital Express” service to Wellington via Canberra, making it (surprisingly) the first airline to fly nonstop between the capitals of Australia and New Zealand. The service will operate four times a week on Boeing 777-200 aircraft, cutting travel times between Singapore and Wellington by 90 minutes while ending the dearth of international flights out of Canberra.
