Starting from 23 November 2016, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will operate its brand new Singapore-Jakarta-Sydney service, allowing travelers from the Indonesian capital and Australia’s harbor city to fly directly between the two cities. The route will be flown three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using the airline’s Boeing 777-200, departing Singapore at 8:15 p.m. with a scheduled arrival time of 9:00 p.m. in Jakarta. Onward flights will then leave Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 10:25 p.m. and land in Sydney at 9:30 a.m. the next day. “Indonesia and Australia are already among the most popular destinations in our route network. As a result of healthy demand, we are pleased to be able to offer even more travelling choices with these new Jakarta and Sydney flights,” said SIA’s senior vice president of marketing planning, Tan Kai Ping.
