After an absence of 16 years, SriLankan Airlines has confirmed that it is going to launch direct flights connecting Colombo and Melbourne this coming November.
These flights will operate four times a week and will be serviced by the airline’s Airbus A330 jets. Business class passengers and Qantas Frequent Flyer will be given full access to Qantas’ Melbourne lounges, which includes the Qantas First Lounge for Qantas Platinum and Platinum One members.
The move will provide Australians with another vacation option aside from perennial favorite Bali. A number of travel journalists have included Sri Lanka in their must-visit lists for 2017.
