Can you truly call yourself a bona fide rock star if you haven’t stayed in a guitar-shaped hotel?
Hard Rock, the hotel chain with music in its brand DNA, has unveiled plans to build what will be the largest guitar-shaped hotel at Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Designed to appear as two back-to-back guitars, the hotel will measure some 137 meters high, with a lagoon pool, casino, restaurants and more. It will boast more than 600 rooms, around half of the complex’s total, as well as a 41,000-square-foot spa complex.
Within the spa, guests will be able to enjoy private cabanas, butler service, multiple manmade waterfalls, and even water sports.
To add to the spectacle of the architectural marvel, Seminole Hard Rock will also host large-scale productions, making it an international entertainment destination.
Slated for completion in 2019, the US$1.5 billion expansion will double both the hotel’s casino space and the number of guest rooms.
While guitars have always been a popular motif for the Hard Rock hotel and restaurant empire, this will be the first to so closely resemble the instrument.
According to James ‘Jim’ Allen, Seminole gaming CEO and chairman of Hard Rock International, “It will be the first building in the world that’s truly to scale designed as an authentic guitar.”
