With the recent launch of Singapore Airlines’ new app for Android and iOS smartphones, customers can now call on a host of innovative features to streamline and personalize their mobile experience.

Apart from significantly faster booking and check-in times, new features include “Capture & Discover,” a search function that employs image recognition as well as speech and natural language (English only) processing to identify the user intent, match it to a destination to which Singapore Airlines flies, and present relevant destination content and fare deals.

There’s also a “Translation Assistant” that uses real-time language translation by voice to help travelers communicate better when they are overseas; and a “Measure Your Baggage” function for determining if the size of your bag is within carry-on limits.

Among the many upgrades to existing features, real-time information such as boarding gate details and the weather at your destination has been added to the app’s “My Trips” function. There’s plenty more besides—you’ll just have to download the app to find out.
