As part of a codesharing agreement, major Russian airlines Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines have revealed that they will launch direct Moscow-Denpasar flights on October 28.
Last year, Garuda Indonesia announced its plans to start nonstop flights to Moscow, which was postponed due to ongoing reviews of the route.
Meanwhile, major Russian airlines Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines have revealed that they will launch direct Moscow-Denpasar flights on October 28. Under the codeshare agreement between the two airlines, flights will operate three times a week onboard Boeing 777 aircraft.
Flight 6295 SU is scheduled to depart every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from Sheremetyevo Airport at 3:05 p.m. and arrive in Denpasar at 8:20 a.m. local time.
Conversely, return flight SU 6296 will leave Ngurah Rai every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:05 a.m. and arrive in Moscow at 5:50 p.m.
Denpasar is the gateway and capital city of the Indonesian province of Bali, which is home to forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches, and coral reefs.
With the opening of this nonstop route, the travel time between Indonesia and Russian capital has been reduced to 12 hours.
