The flag carrier of New Zealand has announced a new nonstop service from Auckland to New York, slated to start October 2020. In light of this, the Kiwi airline will cancel its daily flights connecting Los Angeles and London, so as to make available a 787-9 Dreamliner for these new flights.

Boasting 275 seats, including 27 business class seats, 33 premium economy seats, and 215 economy seats, the 787-9 will operate the route three times weekly.

New York will also be the airline’s sixth North American destination, after Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver.
