AirAsia BIG Members in Malaysia who previously bought an AirAsia Unlimited Pass (Cuti-Cuti Malaysia) are being awarded one free return flight to Langkawi or any domestic destination to compensate for the missed travel opportunities brought by quarantine restrictions imposed over the past year. The low-cost carrier has rolled out this initiative to give Malaysia’s tourism sector a much-needed boost in the weeks ahead. This month saw the launch of a domestic travel bubble to Langkawi, and all interstate travel is set to resume once 90 percent of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.

Launched in June 2020, the AirAsia Unlimited Pass allowed all those who purchased the pass to redeem unlimited flights within Malaysia for travel through March 2021. The promotion covered more than a dozen domestic destinations, including Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Langkawi, and Penang in the west and Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Sandakan in the east.

Amanda Woo, CEO of airasia Super App said in a statement, “We received an overwhelming response when we introduced the AirAsia Unlimited Pass (cuti-cuti Malaysia) last year. Many guests were able to take advantage of the pass where they were able to travel and enjoy cuti-cuti Malaysia within our domestic network across 16 destinations. Unfortunately, some were not able to maximize the usage of the pass due to travel restrictions.

“As a token of our appreciation we would like to reward all cuti-cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass holders with a free flight to any domestic destination. We hope they will use this opportunity to go for their long overdue holiday in Langkawi or for any essential travel to domestic destinations.”

AirAsia Unlimited Pass holders will be notified directly via their registered email address regarding these added benefits, and can also click on the Unlimited icon on the airasia Super App for further details.

The booking period runs from now until December 27, 2021, and free AirAsia Malaysia flights can be redeemed for travel between October 11, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Customers should also be aware that 14 days advance purchase is required if their travel dates fall on or before December 27.
