Hong Kong Airlines develops new menu with celebrity chef Chris Cosentino

Ahead of Hong Kong Airlines’ new flights to San Francisco on March 25, they’ve partnered with celebrity chef Chris Cosentino to develop a new business-class in-flight menu. The San Francisco-based chef, who was a winner on Top Chef Masters and runs the restaurant Cockscomb, describes the dishes as “big in flavor, rich in texture.” Among the 12 dishes on the menu are charred avocado with rock shrimp remoulade and red sorrel, as well as braised beef short rib in burgundy demi sauce with white bean puree and pickled pepper garlic broccolini.

British Airways to bring White Company amenities to Australia

British Airways passengers flying in its Club World business class on routes between London Heathrow and Australia will soon be able to enjoy new bedding and amenity kits from The White Company, beginning with its Sydney service this autumn. Expect a good night’s rest with bedding that comprises a bespoke double-sided pillow and pillowcase, as well as a woven blanket with satin trim, a luxury duvet, and padded mattress cover. The amenity kits come with products from the retailer’s Restore and Relax Spa Collection and a jersey eye mask.

Cathay Pacific to get new US connections via expanded Alaska codeshare

Cathay Pacific’s codeshare agreement with Alaska Airlines will expand to include new US connections. From May 20, the Hong Kong flag carrier will place its CX code on Alaska Airlines’ routes between San Francisco, as well as six domestic destinations, namely Las Vegas, New Orleans, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and Washington Dulles. This move will allow passengers flying on Cathay Pacific to book seats through San Francisco to and from Hong Kong and the six US destinations as part of a single booking.
