Returning guests at the oceanfront Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort will find a brand-new room category to choose from. Unveiled in time for the summer holidays, and large enough to accommodate three adults and one child, the Garden Pool suites offer 74 square meters of indoor and outdoor living space. Travelers will also get to splash out in a 5.5-meter by 2.6-meter plunge pool and a shaded sundeck, both set in a landscaped garden planted with native flora.
Meanwhile, the interior spaces have been done up in a contemporary Thai style characterized by handmade details and a palette of warm, earthy tones. All Garden Pool suites feature a king-size bed, a lounge area with a sofa, and amenities such as a Nespresso machine and a built-in bar with a wine fridge. The bathroom has twin vanities and a deep terrazzo bathtub with room for two.
Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand and fronting a wide stretch of golden sand, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui occupies a cluster of shingled buildings around a central lily pond. In-house activities here range from water sports and Muay Thai to couples’ spa rituals at the Bill Bensley–designed Anantara Spa. Other options for premium accommodation include the upstairs Sea View suites with a private balcony, Beachfront Pool suites that have their own outdoor dining sala (pavilion), and two-bedroom family suites spanning 108 square meters. Rates for the resort’s new Garden Pool suites start from US$363++ per night, including breakfast for up to two guests.
