Banyan Tree Group Debuts HOMM Brand in Phuket

It’s one of five new hospitality concepts that will be rolled out by the company before 2023.

This week, the Singapore-based Banyan Tree Group unveiled the first outpost of its HOMM brand worldwide with a beachfront hotel on the shores of Thailand’s most popular island destination. Named HOMM Bliss Southbeach Patong, the refurbished 71-room property in Phuket aims to pair stylish yet wallet-friendly accommodations with the standards of service and sustainability expected of its parent company. Holidaymakers bedding down at HOMM hotels will also have the chance to engage with the local culture through immersive travel experiences specific to each destination.

“With the introduction of our HOMM brand, we strive to provide guests with true “sense of home” comforts that act as a base camp for new experiences and adventures, while simultaneously supporting the local community,” said hotel manager Chatchaya Jearranai in a statement.

HOMM Bliss Southbeach Patong is situated on the quiet southern end of Patong Bay, promising uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea, direct access to Patong’s white sands, and a convenient location near some of Phuket’s top attractions. The newly refurbished guest quarters are bathed in natural light and feature contemporary, beach-inspired decor; 39 rooms come with sea-facing private balconies and terraces or ground-floor plunge pools.

As for recreational facilities, the property also has two outdoor pools — one close to the beach, the other on a second-floor patio out back. International breakfasts are served each morning at Rice Bowl, the all-day dining venue where authentic Thai cuisine stars on the lunch and dinner menus. Those on the go can opt for quick bites and snacks — such as HOMM’s signature breakfast buns — from Seagulls on Southbeach, a deli housed within the lobby.

As part of the Banyan Tree Group’s Stay For Good program, which is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, each HOMM property will advocate for a specific kind of endangered species. These will be expressed as origami art displayed in the lobby areas; in the case of HOMM Bliss Southbeach Patong, the hotel’s mascot is the black-billed gull. Waste-reduction initiatives and educational programs for local people will also be implemented to generate even more of a positive impact on the hotel’s surroundings.

Travelers staying at least three nights can enjoy HOMM Bliss Southbeach Patong’s opening offer with a starting rate of THB 1,500 (US$45) and a one-time dinner credit of THB 500 (US$15).
