Christian Voigt’s recently published portfolio “Christian Voigt – Photography” flaunts the German-based photographer’s artistry in depicting the beauty of the world through his photographic lenses. Showcasing a range of subjects, some majestic in their nature, others a little more unassuming, Voigt is able to create a magical world in the landscape and architectural images captured from his travels with his use of analog and digital large-format cameras. From a tattoo studio in Buenos Aires, young bhikkhus in Myanmar, to a room at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, his images exude intense colors and details that add depth and an inescapable dramatic touch, which the photographer achieves not with color-enhancement technology and rather by manually layering multiple shots taken of a single subject.
