To celebrate Nyepi, the Balinese New Year and annual “day of silence” that falls on March 14, 2021, Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Bali is enticing weary travelers with a special two-night program that allows them to bask in the spirit of reflection and realignment of the occasion. Over the course of 24 hours, Balinese Hindus typically remain in their homes and abstain from work and recreation; Nyepi is also marked by the closure of the international airport and an island-wide ban on the use of fire and electricity (hotels are exempt), which, depending on weather conditions, creates the ideal conditions for stargazing.

This year, the beachfront resort has teamed up with local master healer Pandu Prasnaditya Wicaksana to offer an immersive spiritual purification experience included as part of its Nyepi Day Package. This starts off with a meditation class, before progressing to private energy healing and chakra alignment sessions. Through his techniques, Pandu will help Belmond guests to open the flow of energy in their bodies and rebalance the seven chakras, located in specific places within the body from the top of the head to the base of the spine.

Prices for Jimbaran Puri’s two-night Nyepi Day Package (from March 13–15, 2021) start from Rp 2,550,000 for a Garden View Cottage suite, Rp 3,750,000 for a One-Bedroom Deluxe Pool villa, and Rp 4,980,000 for a Two-Bedroom Deluxe Pool villa. Guests are entitled to daily breakfast and a 50 percent discount on all food and drinks during the stay, along with the aforementioned wellness activities. Advance bookings are a must; reservations can be made by emailing or calling 62-361/701-605.
