China: Mandarin Oriental to Debut in Guangzhou

As Guangzhou—the third largest city in China—evolves further into a sprawling megalopolis, more and more hotels are beginning to partake in this transformation. Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou will add another luxury accommodation option for those visiting the city when it opens later this year.

Featuring 233 rooms, 30 suites, and 24-hour serviced apartments, the property is conveniently located above Tianhe’s TaiKoo Hui—a mixed-use development comprising luxury shopping and dining, and a cultural center. For added convenience, the hotel is directly connected to Shipaiqiao metro Station, and is a stroll away from Guangzhou East Railway Station, with a high-speed rail service to Hong Kong.

In terms of food and beverage options, the hotel features a Cantonese restaurant, the Mandarin Cake Shop, as well as a cocktail lounge, among others.

The hotel’s other facilities include a spa with nine private treatment rooms, a 25-meter heated outdoor pool, and a fitness center.
