Cocktail Recipe: Panjiayuan Bramble à la MEI Lounge

Everybody loves a good cocktail, and Rosewood Beijing’s new MEI lounge, which opened its doors in July, prides itself for offering guests not just the good ol’ classics, but also a lineup of concoctions that highlight authentic local tastes and unique twists to familiar drinks. While a visit to the venue may take a little bit of planning, Giancarlo Mancino, the bar consultant behind the venue’s cocktail selection, has shared with us a taste of MEI with a recipe to one of his creations. Be ready to impress friends with this simple baijiu-based drink at your next house party.



  • 2 oz Baijiu
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • 1½ oz  Crème de mûre
  • 2 oz Raspberry puree

A handful of mixed berries and silver candy balls

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with 3/4 of ice. Shake well, and then pour into dark, rustic cups. Top the drink with crushed ice and garnish with berries and silver candy balls.

We recommend serving the drink on a black wooden tray with a black-and-white straw on the side for a neat final touch to its presentation.
