Emirates and British low-cost regional carrier Flybe have announced a codeshare agreement, which, if approved, will add 13 new destinations in the United Kingdom to Emirates’ network beginning in July. The codeshare will see Emirates’ code added to 25 Flybe routes to cities including Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, and Newquay, connecting with Emirates’ flights to and from Dubai in the Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham airports (Emirates is also beginning a third daily service to Birmingham in August). “Emirates already offers 16 daily services from the U.K. to Dubai with another daily service flying from Birmingham from the beginning of August,” says Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ executive vice president and CCO. “Together with Flybe, we are taking more people to more places and opening up new U.K. destinations to people around the world.”
