Sun-starved Scandinavians can look forward to more direct ways to reach their favorite winter destinations for the upcoming year-end holidays. Finnair says it will be running nonstop flights from Arlanda, Stockholm to Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, as well as Miami in the United States, from late October until next April. All three long-haul routes will be operated with an Airbus A350 aircraft, and seats are already bookable through Finnair.com.

“We are excited to meet the travel needs of our Swedish customers with a nonstop service from Arlanda to Thailand and Miami, which are among the top winter holiday destinations for Swedes,” said Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement. “The new flights will strengthen our offering in the Swedish market.”

Starting on October 22, 2021, Finnair will fly from Arlanda to Bangkok five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. From November 28, the weekly frequencies will be increased to seven, with daily flights operated from Monday through Sunday until April 22, 2022.

Meanwhile, October 24 will see the launch of weekly flights from Arlanda to Phuket, operated every Sunday. An additional service will be added each Thursday from November 4 and another on Tuesdays as of November 30. Seasonal flights to Phuket will run until April 21, 2022.

Starting on October 23, twice-weekly flights from Arlanda to Miami will take off on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From November 29, the frequency will double, with extra flights added on Mondays and Fridays until April 22, 2022. Finnair also flies to Bangkok, Phuket, and Miami from its home base at Helsinki Airport.
