Finnair to Start Daily Flights to Tokyo Haneda

The Finland flag carrier will also codeshare with Japan Airlines so that travelers can connect to other destinations in Japan.

Starting March 29, 2020, Finnair will launch daily flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to complement its daily flights from Narita airport.

Passengers can expect more flexibility in timing as the service, which is operated by the carrier’s A350-900 aircraft, departs Helsinki at 12:50 a.m. Meanwhile, the return flight from Tokyo leaves at 1:35 a.m.

The Finland flag carrier will also codeshare with Japan Airlines so that travelers can connect to other destinations in Japan.

Ole Orvér, chief commercial officer at Finnair said: “Finnair has operated over 35 years between Japan and Finland. With the new flights, we are happy to offer even better connections between Tokyo and over 100 destinations in Europe.”

Currently, Finnair also flies to three other destinations in the Land of the Rising Sun, including Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. The latest addition to Finnair’s network in Japan is Sapporo in Hokkaido, which will begin operation on December 15, 2019.
