Bangkok-based Avani Hotels and Resorts has just launched its debut property in Indonesia, a boutique resort with just 21 apartment suites and 16 pool villas in the heart of Bali’s Seminyak area. Located just steps away from a clutch of art galleries, beach clubs, and stylish restaurants and bars, Avani Seminyak provides millennials and the young-at-heart a convenient base for taking in the various sights that dot the island’s southern shores.

Beach-inspired hues predominate in the guest quarters, which come with fully stocked kitchenettes and private dining areas. Avani Seminyak’s one-bedroom pool villas offer 150 square meters of living space, while the two-bedroom villas can accommodate up to six adults (or four adults and two children), making them an ideal choice for families and groups of friends. Meanwhile, the suite residences feature private balconies (equipped with a daybed) or open-air terraces; options range from 56-square-meter studios to multi-bedroom units with their own plunge pools.

As for on-site facilities, the sole restaurant is the poolside all-day dining venue Groove, which serves up Indonesian and international fare. Menus here are centered on locally sourced ingredients; the resort also offers community-based cooking classes for travelers to learn about Balinese cuisine. After exploring the property’s lively surroundings, guests can stay in shape at the AvaniFit gym and take a dip in the tranquil cabana-lined main pool. The children’s corner, AvaniKids, offers immersive activities that run the gamut from treasure hunts and cookie-baking sessions to Balinese dance classes and lessons in making traditional canang sari offerings.

Foodies on Instagram should follow @AvaniSeminyakBali for insider tips from resident AvaniMe influencers, who will be happy to share intel on their favorite hangout spots and eating places. The golden sands of Seminyak Beach lie just a 10-minute stroll from the resort, while Ngurah Rai International Airport is a half-hour’s drive away.

To celebrate Avani Seminyak’s opening, the resort is now offering an introductory rate with rooms starting from US$100 per night, inclusive of breakfast. Reservations can be made by calling 62-361/737-908 or emailing seminyak.bali@avanihotels.com.
