Garuda Indonesia has launched the “Vintage Flight Experience”, which looks set to celebrate the glamor of air travel in the ‘70s.

From now until December 17, passengers flying three routes—Jakarta-Balikpapan, Jakarta-Surabaya, and Jakarta-Singapore, will enjoy a blast from the past.

Highlights include the Boeing 737-800NG fleet being rebranded in classic livery, as well as cabin crew dressed in vintage attire, bowler hats and all.

According to Garuda Indonesia operational director Bambang Adisurnya Angkasa, the cabin crew uniforms have been designed by Japanese designer Hanae Mori and were worn in the 1970s and 1980s.

Passengers can also look forward to savoring in-flight meals including old-school snacks such as roti bluder, which were popular in the 1980s.

The airline is hosting a #GABackto70s competition from now until December 17 — simply share photos or videos related to the Garuda Indonesia old livery with the hashtag #GABackto70s on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook for a chance to win e-vouchers.
